Course Description

Instruments & Transducers Programback to top

This program has been developed to provide the basic facilities to study active and passive transducers, incorporating a wide variety of transducers found in industry today.  The student shall be able to determine the performance characteristics for the individual devices and utilize them in elementary control tasks.  The transducers used operate on a variety of physical principles, including:  Resistance, Capacitance, Inductance, Temperature and Light.  The student will be able to investigate, in detail, the characteristics of each device as to its output range, linearity, precision, response time and hysteresis.  There are a total of 26 labs with 54 procedures.
