This course outlines the various audio/video system infrastructures found in homes, as well as the troubleshooting, design planning and testing of these subsystems.  Topics covered in this course include satellite systems, DTV and tuners, room acoustics, and cabling options.   Students will learn through a series of hands-on experiments. An actual home theater system will be set-up and tested by students as they move through the course, allowing them to apply their new audio/video skills.

This course focuses on integrating all types of security systems within the home.  Students will learn the various security options available, as well as the infrastructures and installation of each. Cameras, alarm systems, motion detectors and wired/ wireless security systems are all covered in this course.  Students will learn how to install, test and design a variety of home security systems through a series of hands-on experiments.
